01The Narrative

A 125-year-old yacht club needed a digital presence worthy of the brand and a booking engine members actually enjoy using. We built a premium showroom and reservation system — racing calendars, dining, events and slip availability — unified into one fast, editorial experience with concierge-grade member profiles.

02System Architecture

A Next.js App Router frontend queries content and availability through GraphQL, with Sanity as the headless CMS so the club's team publishes rich media without a developer. Slip and event availability is scheduled in real time; Stripe handles member checkout including multi-currency, all wrapped in a performance budget that keeps the heavy media experience fast.

03The Technical Challenge

The bar was "luxury": heavy, beautiful media and a booking flow that never feels like software, yet stays fast and never double-books a slip or a table. Balancing rich streaming media against real-time availability and a frictionless premium checkout was the core tension.
